Great Ocean Road & Grampians - Luxe 3 Day Tour

Coastal • Nature & Wildlife • Multi-day

  • Meet your local guide at 08:00 am at your Melbourne hotel and embark on one of the world’s most scenic coastal drives, the Great Ocean Road.

From Torquay to Apollo Bay, the road winds along forested coastal cliffs, passing white sandy beaches and charming seaside villages. The hinterland's towering gum trees provide a haven for koalas, kangaroos, and colorful native parrots. Enjoy a seafood lunch in the quaint township of Apollo Bay.

The journey then moves inland through lush rainforests. Take a walk among fern-filled gullies, moss-covered trees, and freshwater cascades before reaching the highlight of the Great Ocean Road—the iconic Twelve Apostles. This dramatic coastline, sculpted by the Southern Ocean, reveals limestone towers, gorges, and caves. Stroll along cliff-edge boardwalks and descend to Loch Ard Gorge to hear stories of heroism and tragedy.

Before sunset, board a private helicopter for a scenic flight to the historic maritime village of Port Fairy. Fly above the Twelve Apostles and Port Campbell National Park, taking in the breathtaking coastal views before arriving at your boutique accommodation, Drift House.

Unwind and refresh before heading out to dinner at one of Port Fairy’s top restaurants.

  • After a restful sleep and a leisurely breakfast, explore Port Fairy by following one of its historic walking trails. Discover charming, restored white-washed cottages built by whalers and seamen, alongside Georgian-style merchants’ homes and grand public buildings.

Departing Port Fairy, journey inland to the Southern Grampians National Park, stopping for a light lunch in the rural town of Dunkeld. The region's beauty is fully showcased with an optional hike to the summit of The Piccaninny. This easy, gradual climb through open forest (featuring stunning wildflowers in spring) offers breathtaking views of Mount Abrupt.

As dusk falls, kangaroos, wallabies, and various bird species bring life to the dramatic landscape surrounding the Royal Mail Hotel, your accommodation for the night. Join your host to learn about the hotel’s captive breeding program and get close to endangered native Australian animals.

Dinner will be served at Parker Street Project at the Royal Mail Hotel. Enjoy a multi-course menu (beverages additional) before retiring for the night.
