The Great Ocean Road
Explore windswept beaches, ancient rainforests, and the Twelve Apostles along the Great Ocean Road.
One of the world’s great coastal drives, the journey along the Great Ocean Road takes you past windswept beaches, through ancient rainforests, and along rugged coastline to the iconic Twelve Apostles.
Departing from Melbourne, your journey begins on the surf coast – Australia’s celebrated surfing mecca and home to the world’s oldest and most prestigious surfing event, The Rip Curl Pro. Spot mobs of lazy kangaroos basking in the morning sun and pass through seaside towns before arriving at Split Point Lighthouse for morning tea with panoramic views from the clifftop.
Continue along the Great Ocean Road to the seaside hamlet of Kennett River. Get up close to colorful native parrots and observe wild koalas dozing in gum trees.
Lunch will be in the popular coastal village of Apollo Bay before continuing inland through lush, verdant gullies and towering ancient forests of Great Otway National Park.
The dramatic coastline of the Shipwreck Coast brings you to the highlight of the day – the rugged splendor of the Twelve Apostles. Stroll along cliff-edge boardwalks for the perfect vantage point to see these magnificent limestone stacks rise majestically from the Southern Ocean. Venture on to Loch Ard Gorge – one of the most dramatically beautiful beaches in Australia – and discover tales of tragedy and triumph.
Conclude your Great Ocean Road experience with a comfortable return journey to Melbourne through rural townships and open farmland.

“We had the best time with Peter on our half day tour of Melbourne and our 13 hour day spent on the Great Ocean Road. Being with Peter was like having a friend you’ve known for years show you all his favorite places”
