Take the fast track to the Penguin Parade

The sight of hundreds of Little Penguins waddling to their beachside nests at Phillip Island is one of the world’s most unique nature experiences. The islands proximity to Melbourne and compact size allows you to make the most of this evening visit to this haven for diverse wildlife.

Departing Melbourne late afternoon, you will soon find yourself strolling along the boardwalks around The Nobbies, absorbing coastal views at lookout points set amongst natural sea bird gardens. Be transfixed by the thundering blowhole and keep your eyes out for your first sighting of the Little Penguin.  As the sun begins to set, travel off-road along the rugged island coastline to spot wild wallabies and Cape Barren geese, as they graze at dusk.

Prior to the arrival of the penguins, join a local ranger who will provide intimate and informative commentary on the penguin colony as you take your seat away from the crowds to witness the penguins emerge from the water and cross the beach. Watch in awe as members of the 32,000 strong Penguin colony waddle their way to their nests.
